Spain Trip Update

Spain Trip Update – New Important Information

The price of the trip is 85,000 Baht (includes everything except shopping money and a ticket to the FC Barcelona vs. Valencia match). A deposit payment of 35,000 Baht is due by this September 15th and deposited in a reserved bank account that will open on September 5th. The remainder (50,000 Baht) is due by December 5th. The trip will take place in mid-April, 2018, during Songkran break. We will depart from Bangkok on April 11th and arrive back in Bangkok on April 21st.

Four important details for communication and safety and to make the trip more enjoyable:

  • Mr. Murray and Dr. Kristen Applegate will be the chaperones during the entire trip.
  • Emergency Insurance is included.
  • Students and chaperones will be provided with a Spanish SIM Card on arrival in Spain for their cell phones. Students and parents and chaperones may keep in touch during the trip. We will all have each other’s phone numbers. Wi-Fi may not be available in certain places during the day and evenings when we are not at our hotels. We will rely on phone calls and text messages.
  • I will be leading a “World Travel Club” once a week next semester during activity block. Students will learn many things about traveling. The focus will be on Spain and learning Spanish travel phrases. I will also be teaching basic Spanish phrases each day on the trip while traveling around. We will have many opportunities to practice Spanish with the community each day. A great hands on cultural experience!

Tell your parents. Don’t miss out!

Welcome Back to ISE

Dear ISE Students and Parents,

The first week of school is over and I have to say it was Fantastic!

As your new Superintendent to the International School Eastern Seaboard, I, along with the Board of Directors, and the entire teaching staff want to welcome you back to what will be a great 2017- 2018 school year. We are all ready to deliver a high quality academic program, as well as bring to the school  strong, diverse after school activities .

As we go into the new academic school year, the staff are truly committed to providing a caring learning environment, a rigorous academic program with support, and extra effort in maintaining  strong communication between home and school.  It is a fact that a trusting partnership between parents and school will result in a high performance program.

We truly believe that our task and commitment is to challenge, inspire and motivate your children to strive for excellence.  This year our new direction is to be transparent, professional, communicative, positive, and provide the needed tools to push your child to create, innovate, and step outside their comfort zone.  At the same time, receiving the needed support during those struggles that may occur along the way.

In addition, this year the school is focused on making learning relevant and real world.  We are going to place serious attention on design thinking, pre-engineering, innovation, and how technology has a place in every subject matter.

To the students, have a great year and remember to challenge yourself.  To the parents, I encourage you to visit the school when you have free time.  We are all here to bring the best to your child’s learning experience and the more you know about the school, the better the year will be for your family.

Go Eagles!

Sincerely,
Mr. Alexander Bennett
Superintendent
