Today at ISE, we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with a beautiful fusion of Chinese and Korean traditions! Our dedicated Chinese and Korean teachers prepared an unforgettable experience, complete with traditional mooncakes, rice cakes, drinks, and interactive cultural activities. Students enjoyed games, music, and the opportunity to learn more about these rich cultures. They even shared their hopes and wishes on a special board, symbolizing unity and community spirit.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a major celebration in China, Korea, and Vietnam, marking the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. It celebrates the harvest, family unity, and the full moon, symbolizing harmony and prosperity. Traditional activities include sharing mooncakes and rice cakes, lighting lanterns, and enjoying cultural performances.
At ISE, this festival helps promote cultural understanding and celebrates the values of family, gratitude, and diversity within our community.

They will join our esteemed current members, Joo Ah, Claudia, Boss, Aryn, Honoka, and Taejun.
The NHS aims to honor students who achieve excellence and balance in their lives by embodying the essential qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Established in 1921 to recognize outstanding students in the US, it has since become an internationally recognized organization, with members from over 20,000 schools worldwide. As part of ISE’s mission to develop lifelong learners and responsible global leaders, the NHS has been integral to our school since its inception.
Yeonjoo, Mei, and Lily have exemplified these qualities through their academic excellence. Their dedication and hard work are evident in their achievements. Moreover, they have generously contributed their time and talents to both our school and the community, serving as role models among their peers.
We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and the positive impact they have already made. As they continue to shine brightly as leaders, scholars, and servants, we are confident that the future holds even greater success for them.

We are thrilled to share the highlights of the ISE 2023 Sports Day!
Our students showcased incredible athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a day filled with sports, fun, sweat and action-packed events. From thrilling track and field competitions to intense football and basketball matches, our young athletes gave their all. The inclusive sports segment also allowed students with diverse abilities to shine. It was a day of camaraderie, where students displayed determination and embraced the values of fair play.
We congratulate all participants for their outstanding performances and extend our gratitude to all organizers and supportive parents!

A welcoming atmosphere was created with music, decorations, refreshments and conversation. The Grade 1 students sang a Thank You song about family and friends. Siena in G4 read a poem about being grateful for and reminding us to say thank you to our parents.

Special thanks was extended to the ISE PTA members for their dedication to the school and their children’s education at ISE.
We ended with a special video of parents and their contributions to the ISE community.
