A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday, May 9, 2024. Your presence made this event t special!

Design is a meaningful process through which they can improve their critical and creative thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration. They explored the school community, identifying needs and potential contributions. After generating several ideas, they selected one—Kiki, the idea provider, expressed inspiration from Roblox—and collaborated to design and construct a model. The special playground, OB, was born from this meticulous and diligent process.

The first graders’ aspiration is to present the proposal to school leaders, bringing OB to life! Should ISE approve their proposal, it will become the world’s only unique playground, exclusive to our school.

As we honor 30 years of excellence in education at the International School of Eastern Seaboard (ISE), we also celebrate our enduring commitment to giving back to the community. Since 2005, ISE has been a proud supporter of Operation Smile Thailand, a testament to our community’s dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of children in need.

Through a variety of fundraising activities, from our energetic Walkathons to the vibrant Water Festival events, the ISE community has come together year after year to collect funds for Operation Smile Thailand. These funds go directly towards life-changing surgeries for children, giving them a new smile and a fresh start in life.

Our commitment goes beyond just donations; it’s about involvement, empathy, and action. We are immensely proud of the enthusiasm and commitment our students, parents, teachers, and staff have shown towards supporting such a noble cause. It’s a reflection of our values and the impact we aspire to make beyond our school walls.

We’re also grateful for the donations made last week. Let’s continue to support, smile, and make a difference together. Our journey with Operation Smile Thailand is a beautiful reminder of the power of community and compassion in shape brighter futures.

Discoveries Made:

Our students explored the fascinating world of carbon fibers and carbon composite materials, uncovering their critical role in modern commercial aircraft.

The journey shone a light on the state-of-the-art manufacturing processes of these advanced materials, showcasing the seamless integration of science and technology .

Engaging with industry experts, our young enthusiasts were excited to learn about the dynamic field of aerospace engineering and the promising career opportunities it offers .

Opportunities Ahead:

A significant takeaway was discovering Qarbon’s active internship program, which provides a pathway for university students to gain practical experience and pave their way in the aerospace sector.

The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the captivating dolphin show. With wide eyes and beaming smiles, the children watched in awe as the graceful dolphins performed mesmerizing tricks and stunts. From soaring leaps to synchronized swimming, each moment was met with gasps of delight and applause from the young audience. As they marveled at the dolphins’ agility and intelligence, the children gained a newfound appreciation for these remarkable creatures.

Following the show, the second graders had the privilege of interacting with the dolphins up close. Guided by knowledgeable trainers, they eagerly participated in various activities, from feeding the dolphins to learning about their behaviors and habitats. The children’s faces lit up with joy as they reached out to touch the smooth, slippery skin of the dolphins, feeling a profound connection with these gentle marine mammals.
