ABOUT ISE
More than a school.
A Community.
A Journey.
OUR STORY · SINCE 1993
A community that grows with you.
For more than three decades, ISE International School has been creating an environment where students can learn, grow, and discover who they are.
Established in 1993, ISE has grown alongside the Eastern Seaboard, welcoming generations of students and families into a diverse and close-knit school community. Today, we continue to build on that foundation while looking ahead – remaining committed to high standards, personal attention, and an education that prepares students for the opportunities of tomorrow.
Belong.
Discover.
Become.
When students feel that they belong, they have the confidence to explore. When they are encouraged to discover their strengths, interests, and passions, they are better prepared to become the person they aspire to be.
Our school is built around this journey – creating a place where students are known and valued, challenged to achieve their best, and supported as they grow.
WELCOME TO ISE
A personal welcome.
A shared commitment.
FROM OUR CHAIRPERSON
“Every child deserves to be known, not just educated.”
For over thirty years, the Board of ISE has been committed to one belief: that every child deserves to be known, not just educated.
As the only American international school on the Eastern Seaboard, we offer something genuinely rare — a 6:1 teacher-to-student ratio, six languages, a dual IB Diploma and American High School Diploma, and a community where students from every corner of the world find a true second home. Our WASC-accredited program, green environment, and 30-year track record of sending graduates to top universities worldwide are not just achievements we’re proud of — they are promises the Board renews every single year.
We would be honored to welcome your family to ours. We’d love for you to come and see it for yourself. Walk our campus. Meet our teachers. Watch our students. Some things can’t be described — they have to be felt. You’ll understand immediately what makes ISE different — not just what we teach, but how deeply we care.

VISION AND MISSION
Purpose That Guides Us
At ISE, our vision and mission shape the way we teach, learn, and grow together. They reflect our commitment to creating a caring community where every student is known, supported, challenged, and prepared to make the most of the opportunities ahead.
Our Vision
A caring international community dedicated to student success.
Our vision begins with community. We believe students thrive when they feel a genuine sense of belonging – when they are known as individuals, encouraged to participate, and supported by people who care about their growth and success.
Our Mission
The mission of the International School Eastern Seaboard is to prepare students for future success and lifelong learning by cultivating higher level thinking skills, effective communication and global responsibilities within a caring and supportive community.
Our mission extends beyond preparing students for their next grade level or university. We aim to develop curious, capable, and responsible learners who can think critically, communicate with confidence, continue learning, and contribute positively to the world around them.
OUR COMMITMENT TO STUDENTS
Belong.
A community where every student is known and valued.
ISE brings together students, families, teachers, and staff from different cultures and backgrounds. We strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel secure in who they are, connected to their community, and supported throughout their educational journey.
Discover.
An education that encourages curiosity, exploration, and possibility.
Students are encouraged to ask questions, think deeply, explore their interests, and take an active role in their learning. Through academics, the arts, athletics, leadership, service, and new experiences, students have the opportunities to discover their strengths, passions, and potential.
Become.
Preparing students for success in school, university, and beyond.
We challenge students to develop the knowledge, skills, character, and confidence to take their next steps with purpose. Through an American education aligned with international standards and the opportunity to pursue the IB Diploma Programme, students are prepared for universities and opportunities around the world.
EDUCATION WITH PURPOSE
Success is more than academic achievement.
Success at ISE is not defined by academic achievement alone. We want our students to leave ISE as thoughtful learners, effective communicators, responsible global citizens, and confident individuals ready to continue growing.
Belong to something meaningful.
Discover what is possible.
Become who you want to be.
